Actors spend so much of their time auditioning that the adage “rinse and repeat” is used to describe the process. The truth is that we need to love auditioning–the nerves, the preparation, the performance, the challenges. And it is possible to do this…to stay present no matter how nervous you are, to ride with what comes, and to learn the skills that make casting directors give you a yes…if not to every audition, then to the long term desire to find a role for you. Lyralen teaches actors both sides of auditioning–the skills that lead to great and original choices, and the ability to use your nerves (or whatever you’re feeling) to make your audition better.

This is an audition class that trains actors in the standards for film and television auditions in NYC and LA (as well as Boston). Uplevel your auditions provides strategies for coming to scene auditions with attack, confidence and originality. Actors learn how to stay connected to their bodies under the pressure of audition nerves, so that auditions become more and more enjoyable and successful. Limited to 12.
