Sandy Meisner taught actors to live truthfully in connection with each other, to be authentic, in the moment, emotionally open. A necessity for authentic and standout work in theatre and film work, the Meisner technique is taught widely in New York and LA. Lyralen Kaye is a working actor who has been teaching since 1986. She trained with Fred Kareman, one of Meisner’s original students, at Carnegie Hall while receiving her MFA in Theatre from Sarah Lawrence College. Since returning to Boston in 2003, she has been teaching the Meisner technique, incorporating body truth and movement into her classes, while producing theatre and coaching and casting for television and film. Her students regularly find work at Boston Casting, Slate Casting, CP Casting and all the major theaters in Boston.
